Introducing Angel Cards to Friends
At Monday night’s Galentine’s dinner party, I cleared the table after the meal, covered it with newspaper, and then distributed terra cotta pots, paint, palettes and brushes to my seated girlfriends.
Then, one by one, I invited each one to put her paintbrush in water, step away from the table and join me on the couch for an Angel Card reading.
“Yay, I love angel card readings!” my friend, Renée exclaimed.
“What are angel cards?” Sonya asked, and while explaining, I found myself rolling the clock all the way back to when I had received my first spirit message, from a stranger, at age fifteen.
As I spoke, I noticed my other girlfriends rising from their seats to gather in the living room and listen to my explanation, which is what prompted me to share it here.
Spirit Team
“We all have a spirit team,” I explained, “who love us and know us better than anyone on this Earth, and with whom we plan this adventure we call life before it begins. Our growth is their purpose, and their mission is to guide us, to help us live our best life. Some of them may choose to be on the planet during our lifetime, but many of them stay on the other side of the veil, rooting for us, and trying to help us - with signs, synchronicities, sudden insights, strong impulses, and the small voice in our head that we sometimes hear when we are very quiet.”
“The trouble is,” I continued, “most of us miss many of their attempts to help us, because we are terribly distracted and there is so much noise, or we have been taught not to “read into” the signs we receive. So, they are overjoyed when we invite them to communicate with us, and we supply a practical tool, like these cards, to act as a bridge for them to use to love us, support us and guide us.

Spirit Messages
I thought back to the first few times I had received spirit messages. Each time, they resonated deeply for me, but I was much younger then, and I allowed myself to be persuaded to dismiss them. I realized today that it has been more than 25 years, half my lifetime ago, since I reached the place where I was ready to receive spirit guidance, and this had only happened because nothing else was working. I had taken advice from all the wrong sources and had gotten myself into quite a pickle, and I was too ashamed to admit to my human friends or family that I needed help.
When I was finally ready to take advice from spirit, and to act upon it, everything changed. I saved my own life, reclaimed my joy, and never looked back. Nowadays, I can be multi-tasking and distracted, just like everyone else, but I try to pay attention to signs and synchronicities. I know that nothing is by chance. I know that I am receiving guidance every day. I try to stay humble and receptive, I spend time being quiet and listening. As often as I can, I exchange spiritual hypnosis sessions with my colleagues so I can go deep and tap into the sources of spirit wisdom that are always available to me. I will tell you a story of how I got here in another blog, but feel free to ask me any questions that come up for you.
